MUSIC // Fait @ The Bird

What’s better than seeing Fait? Well, seeing them with support from Mei Saraswati and Mt. Mountain might be! Make sure you get there early to catch everyone!

MUSIC // COMMUNITY //Yardstock: Rock Against Racism @ Unknown

The absolute legends that run Yardstock (the Perth-based event that’s already become the stuff of music mythology), are not only into live music events in peoples’ back yards, they’re also in equality. Rock against racism is a music event that exists to exhibit a free, loving, inclusive music community, regardless or race, gender or sexuality. Yardstock is going to be huge this time around so don’t miss out! No event locations are released online – you need to get address’ and whatnot from flyers that can be found at Strummers Guitars (CBD) and FERN (Freo).

COMMUNITY // Love In Perth: Rally For Marriage Equality @ CBD

We’re not the only ones who are appalled that marriage equality in Australia still isn’t a thing – Australians far and wide are raising the cry, carrying the torch and making their voices heard on this issue. Australia is often seen as progressive, both by the nation’s citizens and the rest of the globe, but we haven’t managed to vault this hurdle yet. So, gather your friends, family and anyone else that stands for love in our national community and join this rally to open a new chapter of life, freedom and equality in this outstanding country of ours.

MUSIC // Kallan Phillips @ The Moon Cafe

We don’t know much about Kallan Phillips, but after a quick skim through his Bandcamp page it’s pretty evident that this dude has some serious musical chops that will perfectly close down your weekend. Hosted at The Moon Cafe (get a Moon Dog dawg), with support from Rabbits Foot this is going to be stellar!
