Learning to drive, thanks to numerous dangerous situations and law changes, is one of life’s most frustrating and exhaustive practices.
Sadly, one driver may have made this fortuitous right of passage even more difficult for L-Platers and everyone around them.
A learner driver has been charged over a bizarre road rage attack against a man and his young family in southeast Perth.
On Wednesday evening, according to Perthnow, a 32-year-old man, his wife, and two young children were travelling on Wungong Road, Brookdale when a car crashed into them.
According to the victim, the other car, driven by a 19-year-old, had no tyres on its left side.
He said the car, whilst driving past them, was driving on steel rims causing sparks to fly across the road.
According to The West Australian, his car hit the kerb soon after, before the teenager pulled out a knife and attacked the victim and his car.
The Mount Richon teenager resisted arrest and violently assaulted WA police officers during the ordeal.
He was taken to Armadale Hospital before custody, now facing several charges including common assault, resisting arrest, reckless driving, and possessing a controlled weapon.
The teen appeared today before Armadale Magistrates Court.
