Here in Perth, we were used to flying under the radar. While our eastern-state contemporaries enjoyed their Krispy Kremes and mass-produced retail shopping experience (which we also enjoy, but not to as great extent) modest little Perth sat quietly and waited for it’s turn to be noticed.
Now, Perth is having a small shopping revolution. We’ve now caught the attention of many international retailers such as Topshop, Zara, and 711. The days of juggling a massive box of Krispy Kreme donuts and all your Topshop bargains though the Melbourne domestic airport are indeed, over.
The latest retail giant set to make it’s mark on Perth is Swedish retail giant H&M. The modestly priced clothing company has secured a spot at Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre and will open it’s doors on Saturday the 29th of August, which is (at this time of writing) tomorrow.
More than 1000 customers are expected and Country Manager Hans Andersson has said that 158 local workers have been hired.
So if you want to be apart of that 1000 and enjoy crowds, chaos, and crying, doors open at 9am tomorrow.
