This week is the last week of Doctopus’s Velvet Lounge residency, so make sure you head down for one last hurrah. Joining them this week is Verge Collection and Pool Boy.
Surprise gig of the week goes to the Babushka lineup this Thursday with Peter Bibby, Nick Allbrook, Rabbit Island and Emlyn Johnson taking the stage in what’s sure to be a superb show.

Methyl Ethel will be heading out to the US next month and need some $$ to help run things smoothly over there. With support acts like Dianas, Rabbit Island and Benjamin Witt, it really won’t feel like charity.

The latest instalment of Dada Record’s garage shows boasts some garage/psych rock favourites with Aborted Tortoise, Spacemanantics and Hot Waters (first gig) hitting the back of the great record store during the afternoon.

Sydney band Little May are hitting Jack Rabbit Slims this Saturday, bringing their spaced out and dreamy take on indie pop/folk along with the excellent sounds of Golden String and Luke Dux.

Perth artist collective Xero Boys is launching their comic zine this Sunday in the 399 courtyard, with a bunch of talented artists sure to catch your eye. They’ll be sharing their first 2 editions so make sure you pick up a copy and chill for a while.
~Street Art: A PUBLIC Affair~
Where: Luna Leederville
This Sunday is the one off screening of ‘Street Art: A PUBLIC Affair’ by Three Tree Productions, which is a documentary following a street art festival in Perth every April. Throughout the doco you’ve got interviews with artists and features a heap of awesome urban artworks, great for finishing of the week on a good note.
