Thursday 26.11

~Villain | Brand New Day Single Launch ft Fine Court | Great Gable | SAGA @ The Bird~
If you’re pinned down with shifts all weekend and needing a Thursday night to remember, don’t look past Villain’s new single release going down at The Bird tomorrow night, starting at 8pm. Including guests Great Gable and Fine Court, the $5 entry is a small price to pay. We’re promised not only the finest of tunes but also some top qual banter – get along.

Friday 27.11

~Mt. Mountain + Hideous Sun Demon, Dougals Casino & Moistoyster @ Mojos~
As proclaimed on the event page, Mt. Mountain are heading back to their spiritual home for the final headlining gig of 2015. Joining them throughout the night are favourites Hideous Sun Demon, Moistoyster and local act Dougal’s Casino. Entry is $10 and the fun starts at 8pm.

Saturday 28.11

~Etsy Made Local (Something Different in Northbridge)~
As the name swiftly steals the chance for us to remark on, this entry is something different. You know Etsy, that site which is pretty much hipster ebay and you can buy all the cool homemade trinkets and accessories and miniatures? The Etsy WA Street Team are throwing their own market in the State Theatre Centre WA Space Courtyard – AKA, underneath that big screen in Northbridge near the library that plays all the trippy stuff at night. All jokes aside, we’re pretty interested in this one. Hours are 10am – 4pm, so remember to drink plenty of water Friday night!

Without wanting to put our Perth pride to shame, we’ve got our eyes on the East Coast ambassador’s trip that’s hitting The Bird this Saturday night. Terrible Truths from the slums of Melbourne* are straggling into Northbridge with their new LP, alongside Jimmy sitting-on-a-debut Chang, joined by the local lords who are Kitchen People. Price is $10 on the door and the noise starts at 8.

*No offense meant to anybody who lives in a slum.

Sunday 29.11

As if you even need the blurb.

Topping off this week’s list with another “something different,” although not really because this entry is much similar to the last one that was different. Anyway, Strummers on Beaufort Street – there’s a guitar swapmeet for musicians. I know, right? Move over Etsy. They’re going full market with this one – haggling and trading is all up for discussion. A gold coin donation is requested for entry, and sellers can grab a spot for $20.
